Massage

Massage is a wonderful complementary therapy that enables both your mind and body to really let go. A massage treatment helps to eliminate the build-up of toxins that accumulate in the tissues. Muscles begin to relax and nerve endings are stimulated to produce the ultimate in relaxation. Your therapist, Beth has been trained in massage for over 10 years and in fact even teaches advanced massage classes in Manchester and London!

You can choose from the following massage treatments:

  • Holistic Massage: has physiological, mental and emotional effects, helping to eliminate the build-up of toxins that accumulate in the tissues as “knots”. Muscles begin to relax and nerve endings are stimulated to produce the ultimate in relaxation. Pressure can be as desired and you can choose your preferred massage oil.

  • Deep Tissue Massage: a specialised technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep pressure on the contracted areas. This massage leaves one feeling extremely relaxed.

  • Yoga Massage: carried out fully clothed on the floor. Practitioner’s work with energy lines and deep stretching, which with applied pressure make it possible to treat a whole range of diseases and to relieve pain. Disturbances in the flow of energy result in an insufficient supply of Prana, which will in turn lead to sickness. Working on the energy lines with massage can break the blockades, stimulate the free flow of Prana, and help to restore general wellbeing.

  • Indian Head Massage: advanced techniques are applied at the desired pressure to the upper back, shoulders, arms, neck and head. This massage relaxes the body and relieves tension in the upper torso. Indian Head Massage is great for relieving stress, neck, back and shoulder tension and can also prevent RSI.

  • Hot Stone Massage: works on the whole body with the use of warm stones, having a deep relaxing and therapeutic effect. The heat from the stones penetrates deep into the body, calming the nerves and relaxing the muscles.

  • Lymphatic Drainage: a specialised technique that promotes optimum functioning of the body. Working gently on the body this massage feels wonderful and relaxing and often with noticeable results (e.g. reduction in swelling or increased energy levels)
